Larry has been boxing since he was an amateur in high school. Born and raised in Mt Vernon, NY. Larry turned professional in 1988 and quickly rose through the ranks to become a top professional welterweight contender. Larry was probably the most popular pro to ever come out of Westchester County and has thousands of fans. He has been featured on ESPN, HBO, Showtime and Pay Per View. Larry only had three losses in 48 professional bouts. All three losses were to world champion Hall of Famers. Yuri Boy Campas, Saoul Mamby and Felix Trinidad were the only men to give Larry a loss. Larry has charisma, a high boxing I.Q. and is a great mentor to all that enter Champ's. He can keep you motivated and keep you smiling at the same time. A little known fact about Larry is that he was headed to the 1988 Olympics for diving but opted to turn professional instead. Great athlete, great man!
